Training and Awareness

Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration

In our commitment to advancing evidence-based interventions in the region, we have partnered with the Collaborative for Leaderships in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI) to offer regular training opportunities in collaboration with Al-Masar. Together, we host the Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration (CASI), a comprehensive six-module hybrid program. The program includes four self-paced online modules and two in-person modules focused on hands-on practice, providing participants with direct mentoring and personalized feedback.

Al-Masar Program

Due to the limited availability of Arabic-language resources that support students with disabilities, we developed “Al-Masar Program” for educators and therapists. This comprehensive reference is designed to assist in creating individualized educational and therapeutic plans for students with developmental disabilities or delays.

The program addresses developmental milestones organized into goals, and spanning from preschool through fifth grade. These goals have been continuously refined and enhanced over the past 20 years of hands-on fieldwork. To ensure the program is grounded in evidence-based practices, a wide range of reference materials and scientifically validated developmental programs and curricula were reviewed and integrated. As a result, Al-Masar Program is culturally relevant and addresses the specific needs of our students.

The program encompasses 19 Developmental Domains, each divided into Sections, which in turn consist of multiple Goals. Each goal is supported by Specifications – detailed items that offer flexibility and adaptability, enabling educators and therapists to tailor goals to meet each student's unique needs. The specifications ensure that goals are specific, realistic, relevant, and measurable.

Uniquely designed for flexibility in its application, the program enhances professional efficiency and supports sound clinical reasoning. The program has been registered under: ISBN 978-9923-9479-0-6.

Skill-Building Workshops

We believe that every student can thrive, regardless of their educational or developmental needs. With this in mind, we are committed to supporting schools in creating inclusive environments through customized workshops tailored to each school’s unique challenges and priorities. These workshops are designed to deepen educators’ understanding of the diverse needs of students, and provide practical tools and hands-on strategies - rooted in evidence-based approaches - to help foster a supportive and adaptive learning environment.

Hands-On Learning Experiences

We offer field work training opportunities for students pursuing degrees in occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, physical therapy and special education at various local colleges and universities. In addition, we provide short-term internship placements for therapists and educators seeking hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced professionals in the dynamic setting of Al-Masar.

Awareness Seminars

We actively engage in promoting public awareness through talks, seminars and workshops held in various community settings. We are particularly concerned with raising awareness about the importance of early detection and the benefits of timely intervention. Additionally, we strive to foster positive attitudes towards children with developmental differences and their families, while advocating for their rights across all areas of life.
